For Labor Day, the kids had a campout in the backyard. They suddenly realized that summer was over and they hadn't been camping once. They all felt pretty sad about this, so we set up the tent and let them sleep in the back for the night. They loved it! We even tried to let Sky sleep back there, but by 10:30, we knew that she needed to come inside so the other kids could finally fall asleep.
Also, a few weeks ago, Hallie wrote me this sweet little note.
(translation: I love you mommy. I love you with all my heart. I love you.)
Camping at home? This kind of camping is the easiest clean-up. Bathrooms are nearby; snacks always available; and rambunctious children can be whisked away. Great fun too! Glad Sky got in on the pictures. Oh yes - that note would melt any heart.
